Women in Basketball is the theme of FIBA Photo Contest 2020. Women and girls as players, but also as coaches, administrators and fans is one of the main priorities for FIBA and the IBF for the 2019-2023 cycle.

FIBA, Federation Internationale de Basketball or the International Basketball Federation, is the world governing body for basketball with headquarters in Switzerland.
Founded in 1932, They bring together 213 National Basketball Federations from all over the world.

Founded in 2008, the International Basketball Foundation (IBF) takes care of the social, humanitarian and educational activities of FIBA.

To fulfill its cultural and sporting ambition, the International Basketball Foundation (‘IBF’), whose role is to preserve and promote FIBA values and its cultural heritage, has decided to organize the FIBA photo contest.

The Contest will be a unique opportunity for all keen photographers and basketball lovers to show their talents. As a participant in the contest, you need to send to the IBF, your best photos in link with the theme chosen by IBF:Women in Basketball

The forty (40) best photos selected by the jury will be exhibited temporarily at the House of Basketball, in the FIBA world headquarters in Mies (Switzerland). The opening of the exhibition will take place on July 24th, 2020. The exhibition will end on November 30th, 2020.

Prizes:

1st PRIZE 3’000 CHF
2nd PRIZE 2’000 CHF
3rd PRIZE 1’000 CHF

Each participant can submit a maximum of three pictures regardless of the theme.

Entry deadline: 30th May 2020
The winners will be announced on July 31th, 2020 on the contest website as well as on the FIBA website. They will also be informed personally by e-mail by the IBF.

Image requirements: JPEG/JPG format; Minimum file size: 4MB; Maximum size: 20MB; Minimum number of pixels: 5 million
