International Landscape Photographer of the Year is a new global competition purely for the showcase of landscape photography.
Open to all photographers the contest is aimed at finding the best 101 landscape images from the past 12 months (after 1 January 2013) and publishing them in a beautiful coffee table book which will be available in a variety of formats.
The competition draws on the judging experience of 5 of the world’s best photographers;
–David Burnett, co-founder Contact Press Images, USA
–Tony Hewitt, 2013 Australian Professional Photographer of the Year, Australia
–David Ward, Photographer and Author, UK
–Jackie Ranken, 2012 New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year, New Zealand
–Jim Goldstein, Fine Art Photographer and Author, USA
The judges will also be on a search for the International Landscape Photographer of the Year (based on a folio submission of at least 4 images) and the International Landscape Photograph of the Year.
Each entry will be scored by all judges on the panel and receive a score out of 500. Prizes on offer include US$10,000 cash, trophies, limited edition copies of the awards book and large framed prints of winning images.
Closing Date: Entries and the Entry Fee must be received by 30 May 2014.
The Entry Fee is US $25 per image for the first three Entries. The fee for four Entries is US $80 and then addditional Entries are US $20 each. Up to twenty images can be entered. If you wish to be eligible for the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Award, you will need to enter at least four different entries. However, a single Entry is all that’s required for inclusion in the Book, or to win the International Landscape Photograph of the Year Award.
Entries must comply with the following specifications:
• RGB colour space, 8-bit;
• Measure between 4000 and 5000 pixels on the longest side (we need large files because they may be printed)
• Be saved as a JPEG at a setting of 8 (80%) or higher.
