Kolari Vision is proud to announce the first ever Life in Another Light Photo Contest aimed at showing the photography world the best shots and stories from the infrared community. They are looking for the best infrared shots from around the world that show us how looking at our lives in another wavelength of light can expand our imagination and creative potential.

What changes when we switch to infrared, and which things remain constant? What beauty lies in the light that our eyes can’t see? We want the infrared photography community to answer these questions and more with complete photo essays as well as individual shots.

Show us the whole story, from start to finish, and everything that mattered along the way. Vladimir Migutin provides the inspiration for Photo Essay category with his beautiful story on the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

•ONE GRAND PRIZE (First-Place Photo Essay): $1,000 Kolari Vision Gift Card and $1,000 cash prize delivered via Paypal
•First Place in each category: $1,000 Kolari Vision Gift Card
•Second Place in each category: $350/$250 Kolari Vision Gift Card
•Third Place in each category: from $200/$150 Kolari Vision Gift Card

Honorary mentions – 3 to 5 Honorary Mentions will be given to each category and each will be awarded a $50 Kolari Vision gift card.
Prizes will also be awarded to one visible light photo essay and one visible light photo per applicable category!

Entry deadline: 31st January 2019
Judging will be completed by February 8th, 2019, and potential winners will be notified by email on or before February 15, 2019.

Image requirements: .jpg, .gif, or .png format.
Entries are limited to fifteen per person. Photo essay entries are considered as one entry, and must contain between ten to twenty photos per essay.
