The “Leica Oskar Barnack Award” competition is open to all professional photographers. To take part, participants must send in a series of photographs taken in 2011 or 2012 or long-term projects containing at least one photo from 2011 or 2012. Only one entry per photographer is accepted.
The capital city of Austria, Vienna, one of the most important cultural cities in Europe enjoys a good reputation in its music, literature, theater and fine arts for many years. However, in the field of contemporary photography Vienna has a rising demand to follow up with the rest of the world. Inspired by many international competitions in photography we therefore decided to set up and organize the annual Vienna International Photographic Awards « VIPA » for documentary photography.
The Hope for a Healthy World Photo Competition gives photographers the opportunity to win cash prizes and have their work recognized at the LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph in 2012, as well as on the website pdnonline.com.

Each year, amateur photographers from around the globe, select 3 of their top photographs, that best reflect the competition title “Celebrating the Mining industry”, for submission to the Snowden Photography Competition. For the past 5 years, the competition has grown to a record over 1,000 submissions received last year.
ELIGIBILITY
(a) Entry is free and is open to entrants from all countries.
(b) The Entrant must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
(c) The Entrant must not be a professional photographer. In this clause, a „professional photographer‟ is a photographer who derives more than 50% of his or her income from photography.

Google a lansat un concurs international de fotografie, destinat studentilor, cu exceptia studentilor rezidenti in Brazilia, Quebec, Cuba, Iran, Irac, Siria, Coreea de Nord, Sudan, Libia, Liberia, Zimbabwe sau Myanmar.
Sunt acceptati concurenti persoane in varsta de 18 ani impliniti, care urmeaza cursuri in invatamantul superior si care au acces la Internet.
Sunt disponibile urmatoarele categorii:

– Action,
– Street,
– Sport,
– Night,
– Sound / Silence
– Point of view.
Sunt acceptate max. 8 fotografii cu latura max. 2.048 pixeli, dispuse intr-un album la oricare dintre cantegorii, uploadate pe Google+.
Fotograful trebuie sa pastreze fotografiile originale pentru semifinala si finala.
Data limita pentru primirea fotografiilor: 31 ianuarie 2012.
Dintre lucrarile acceptate, 100 participanti vor fi admisi in semifinala si vor fi premiati cu cate un telefon mobil Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Dintre acestia vor fi selectati 10 finalisti, care vor primi o invitatie pentru expunerea fotografiilor lor la Galeriile Saatchi (Londra) in perioada 23 mai – 13 iunie 2012 si o calatorie la Londra de 3 zile.
Premiul cel mare – o calatorie de 7 zile pentru a fotografia impreuna cu un fotograf profesionist intr-o locatie ce va fi conventia de Google si premiant.
