Project IMA, IN:spired, is open to all artists and designers ages 18 or older. Entries must be the exclusive work of the submitter or submitting team, created for this show. All works must be wearable objects to be modeled on a runway and must exhibit unique, innovative, inspirational, and creative artistry based on pieces, designed by legendary Indiana fashion designers Norman Norell, Bill Blass, Halston, and Stephen Sprouse, included in An American Legacy: Norell, Blass, Halston & Sprouse.
All submissions must include an application form. The application is limited to two entries; one or both may be selected for the final runway shows. Submissions must be accompanied by high quality digital images or proposed illustrations accompanied by written descriptions. All submissions should include: name of the designer(s) and a description of selected garment(s) chosen for inspiration from the exhibition An American Legacy, along with a detailed description of proposed design(s), contact information, and primary construction materials. Please submit all materials to ProjectIMA@imamuseum.org by Monday, August 20.
Models for the runway show must be provided by the designer(s).
