As part of the Global Wind Day activities, WindEurope and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) have launched a global photo competition: “Wind Vision.”

Wind energy provides jobs and regional regeneration as well as providing global export markets. Wind energy helps us meet our climate change commitments and speed up the move to a low-carbon economy. Wind energy should be the backbone of how the globe generates its power. This is our #WindVision

The photo contest aims to draw the attention of the public and policymakers to wind energy and the power it holds to alleviate many social, economic and environmental challenges.
Categories:
◾Category 1: Local Impact – In this category, your photos should show how wind energy has benefitted your community.
◾Category 2: Boosting Economies – In this category, your photos should represent people working in the industry, factories or in wind installation.
◾Category 3: Visionary Wind – In this category, your photos should show wind energy working in harmony with nature.

Prizes:
◾The first prize in each category – € 1,000.
◾The winning photographs will be displayed on the WindEurope and GWEC websites and across all social media channels.
◾Entry deadline: 20th May 2018
The winners will be announced on 15 June 2018 and their photos will be exhibited at WindEurope’s Annual Summer Reception on 21 June 2018.
Image requirements: jpg format; highest resolution (as a guideline, each picture should be at least 2000 pixels on its shortest edge; and should be at least 2MB in file size).
